Let Me Write Your Love Story....
"Wedding photography isn't just taking photos. It's creating a lifelong memory of your day, of telling the story as it unfolds and getting beautiful images of you both at your very best."
My goal is to be there at your wedding, yet unnoticed, to capture moments that you'll have missed and gently work with you and your guests to create a set of photos that will make you cry one day and laugh the next.
These photographs will be the only complete permanent record of what happened, who did what, who laughed, who cried.
They'll be with you forever and
it's a task I don't take lightly.

Wedding Photography Throughout East Anglia and Beyond.
It's easy to look at a wedding photographer at work and think that it's an easy way to make a good living. I mean going along to a wedding most weekends and being fed and mixing with happy people and getting a few photos along the way is really easy - oh and being paid rather a lot of money for a days "work" to boot.
So let me clarify a few myths about wedding photography.
Wedding Photography is Easy and My Sister (Brother/Friend etc) Will Do It For Us.
I'm sure they'll get some photos - yes. I mean point the camera at somethiing and press the shutter and at least a few photos must come out ok - surely even a chimp could do it.
So the question becomes not, "can they take a photo at your wedding" but rather, "can they create photos that capture the emotion and moments and tell the story of your wedding"
The answer to which is almost certainly NO
When I started to shoot weddings professionally I'd already photographed several weddings for friends and relatives for free. I then worked alongside another pro for 4 weddings before tackling my first very small low key wedding.
I see horror stories of non professional wedding photographers (and even a few pros!) and the awful photos they've taken.
It's ONE DAY in your life you want everything to go right and to have photos
that will make you smile fondly in years to
come - not a time to risk having rubbish photos!
Wedding Photograpy is Way Too Expensive
Maybe the "Hourly Rate" compared to a plumber or electrician is high - agreed.
But the wedding day is just a part of the story (at least for me).
Let's look at the time involved. For a typical Full Day Wedding (£945) I would spend:-
4 hours to either do an Engagement Photo Shoot or a Consultation including travelling
3 hours processing and editing engagement photos if taken then upload to an online gallery
1 hr preparing the quotation with all the details, shots, times etc noted as a contract.
10 hours on your wedding day at your wedding (plus travelling up to 2 hours each way)
8 hours editing and processing the 200 odd photos for your online gallery
4 hours editing and processing the 30 minute "hilite" video
4 hours creating your wedding album and arranging prints etc.
That's 34 hours work!
Then there are other costs that are included in the package price:-
The Album
The Prints
Online Gallery available for several years
Travelling costs
And of course a replacement camera ever 2 years (£3500)
Take these costs out and the "hourly rate" compares
very favourably to any other craftsman.
If You Pay More You Get A Better Wedding Photographer
As an "insider" I promise you that is NOT TRUE!
If we're discussing "how much to spend on your
wedding photography" then it's simple.
Below a certain price and you'll probably be hiring a "weekend" photographer who does it as a hobby, not as a professional OR a beginner trying to gain experience. In either case the certainty of getting good wedding photos reduces significantly.
Above a certain price and you'll be paying for additional and better quality albums, prints etc. You'll get an engagement shoot or post wedding shoot thrown in,
Between these two exist wedding photographers from "ok," to "top quality" and their price doesn't necessarily match their quality.
Neither does their "visibility" - search on Google for "wedding photographer" and the results are the best at Search Engine Optimisation and marketing - NOT photography!
Finding the right photographer for YOU requires finding someone with the right style of photography, with the right level of experience at the right price. That simply means lots of research and face to face meetings.
