Family and friends turned out in style for Susan and Darren's 1920s-themed wedding
It's not that often couples have "themed" weddings but Sue and Darren really went to town with theirs and thier story got noticed by Your East Anglian Wedding Magazine and featured in the October/November issue. It's Here https://www.county.wedding/image_upload/flippingbook/YEAW45/
Susan and Darren were workmates for years before eventually going on a date. Darren’s sense of humour won Susan over and after getting together as a couple he popped the question while they were on holiday in the Dominican Republic. “It was a total surprise and after he proposed we officially got engaged on my birthday in August, 2017,” Susan reveals.
They tied the knot two years later on November 23rd in the chapel at Thetford Grammar School, followed by a reception at Brandon House Hotel, Suffolk.
I got involved when Sue contacted me and asked if I was available for the date of their wedding - being a November wedding meant I wasn't too busy and after meeting Sue and Darren I was booked. It was a chilly but thankfully dry day in November and the whole day was brilliant - I expected a good number of people not to participate in the 1920's theme but to my surprise literally everyone of the guests did! That made it really special and so pleased for Sue and Darren that all their hard work was fully enjoyed by everyone.
