Suffolk's Best Portrait Photographer?

I'm writing this as Google now shows me as Number ONE if you search for "best Portrait Photographer in Suffolk" !!

So what does that actually mean for my clients?

Well firstly of course great photos - but NOT great photos for my Instagram profile, NOT great photos for my Facebook page or even this website BUT great photos for the CLIENT!

A "Glamour" style Portrait Photo

If I'm being paid to create someone's portrait photograph then I must to a large degree give them what they want. That means different locations, different times of day and different "looks"

So many Portrait photographers have a superb Instagram profile and their style is very distinctive but that means a client is only going to get those photos - if that's what they want then fine but as a professional I feel I must cater for the clients wishes albeit with my own stamp in terms of style.

So what's my "style"?

To make the very best use of the location and the lighting and arrange the client into a natural, relaxed pose that compliments their character and the "look" they've already discussed with me.

Also I choose to use equipment that gives less "modern" look. I'm not a fan of the ultra sharp, overly contrasty, smart phone type photos I see so often. I mainly use a Leica M10 with old lenses that have character rather than sharpness - colour rather than clarity. I do also have more modern Nikon cameras - these are mainly for use at weddings when "getting the shot" is as important as the character of the photo.

But for portrait photo shoots it's definitely the Leica I reach for.

My prices start at £100 for a one hour session anywhere in East Anglia - I believe this is within reach of most people who want to mark a life event, birthday, new beginning or profession photos for their social media.
