2027 Wedding Photography Packages
From December 2026 onwards I'm offering ONLY FILM Wedding Photography for reasons I'll explain below.
But be assured I do still ensure that all the key elements of your wedding day are also photographed on my digital cameras - just in case!
Why only Film Wedding Photography?
I got my first decent SLR camera in 1986 - A Pentax ME Super (obviously a 35mm film camera) I later upgraded in 1994 to a Nikon FA - the worlds most advanced 35mm SLR at the time. I shot film until 2006 when I bought a Nikon D90.
I've shot weddings as a full time professional since 2015 and have covered over 300 weddings - all using digital photography.
IT'S NOW TIME FOR A CHANGE
The problem with digital cameras is that they're all now so advanced that even very average photographers can take what look like good wedding photos. "Auto" this and "auto" that and there you go - great wedding photos.
Anyone can claim to be a wedding photographer (and they do!)
BUT HOLD ON...
Capturing the romance, the love and emotions of a wedding day go way beyond a camera that can do it all for the photographer. It takes experience, knowledge and passion which has become unnecessary in todays "content creator" world where "photographers" actually think it's ok to use a smart phone.

I believe in a saying that says, "you get out, what you put in"
Believe me when I say I put everything I have into every wedding, all the knowledge and experience from over 300 weddings, the passion I have for capturing every tear, smile and kiss. And not just doing so with a quick "click" and let the camera do all the work but using the equipment in a way that takes reality and makes it special and more than a simple photo; it's a time machine that will transport you back to the very moment through the emotion it captured.
I WANT TO BE DIFFERENT
I no longer want to give couples an email with a link to an online gallery; something they'll look at with excitement once or twice and then it'll become consigned to the vagaries of everything "online"
I want to give them something real, something physical, something of value that even in a shoebox will last for generations to come.

HERE'S The 35mm Film Wedding Photography PACKAGE....
Full Day - so from prep. through to first dance - up to 10 hours
Anywhere in SE England - distance no problem but sometimes I'd need to stay overnight to meet your requirements in which case I'd ask for that additional cost
Engagement Shoot - included within 40 miles of my location (IP30 0RZ) and we'll spend an hour getting romantic photos of you at this time in your relationship - and you get to know me and see how I work too. I'll give you around 30 5"x8" prints afterwards.
Consultations - as required and could be a Zoom, or coffee - whatever works for us both.
Afterwards - within 2 weeks I'll deliver around 220 5"x8" prints from the day. Included are 4 enlargements of 12"x16" Fine Art Heritage prints - just tell me which photos.
Price is £1385 for dates between 1st May and
30th September - £985 all other dates

Photographs will be taken with a mix of 35mm Film and modern digital LEICA camaras. I use 2 film cameras and will plan on using 5 rolls of Kodak Portra400 so around 120 photos of which I'll select 120 for printing.
The Digital cameras are a Leica M10 and a Leica CL - with these I'll make sure all the critical parts of the day are also photographed - just in case there's any issue with the film photos! I'll probably get about 400 photos with these and select 100 for printing; so in all you'll get 240 5"x8" prints in a mix of black and white and colour.

As well as switching to Film Photography for 2027 I'm reducing the number of weddings I'll do so that every wedding will be a more significant event and allow all the time required to select, edit and print the photos that will become your heirloom.
I'll only be doing 2 weddings per month.
