Best Wedding Photographer in Suffolk?
I'd love to think that's true but what is "best"?
For some it maybe who offers the most comprehensive wedding photography package ; someone else may thiink the photos are the most importaant aspect and others will be lead by the best value for money.

a documentary / editorial wedding photographer based in Suffolk
Becoming possibly the best wedding photographer in Suffolk (as mentioned what exactly is "best"?) has taken many years and non stop application of Kaizen (continuos improvement)
Initially I needed to find "My" style of wedding photography.
This is dictated by several factors; equipment - editing - personality - relationship with the wedding couple and more.
I quickly decided that I disliked the "do this, do that, stand there" approach that many wedding photographers have so I leant more towards the documemntary, editorial approach.
My photography equipment has seen so many changes!
From starting out with quite long focal length zoom lenses and big professional camera bodies I experimented with smaller more discrete cameras and then onto small prime lenses and then to equipment that replicated the subtle and softer 60's film photo look that I found myself falling in love with for weddings.
As a result I shoot weddings with a Nikon Zf and Df cameras and a Leica M10. None of these are the easiest to use as a wedding camera but combined with 10+ year old lenses they produce magical, captivating images that with a small amount of post processing could easily be a Kodak or Fuji film photograph.
Does this make me the best wedding photographer in Suffolk?
I do think it makes me different, probably quite
unique amongst wedding photographers
Who would my photography appeal to?
As the saying goes, "you can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all the itme"!
So I believe I'm "the best" for those couples who value the image quality and artistry and want to be captivated by the photographs of their wedding day.
Couples for who the moments and emotions are more important than ensuring every photo on a pre-determined list is ticked off.
Couples who want someone who is more a priviledged guest with a camera than "director" of proceedings.
Couples who understand that the cost of the wedding will be forgotten in weeks but the photos remain forever.
